CAST
Jerome R. Marzullo (Don
Diego) -- This is Jerry's first production with Commedia Beauregard.
Originally from Chicago, he received a BA in Theater from the University of
Illinois. In Minnesota, he has appeared with North Branch Community
Theater, TRP, Pigs Eye Theater, Theatre Pro Rata, Shakespeare and Co., Cromulent
Shakespeare Company, Ronin Theater, and Shoestring Players. More recently
he was "Santiago" in Park Square's Anna in the Tropics. Last year
he was also seen in The Goat or Who is Sylvia at nimbus theatre, and in
The Petrified Forest with Gremlin Theater (one of City Pages' "10
Best" of 2006). By day, he is a financial planner, and he can be seen and
heard playing congas and percussion monthly at Washington Square Bar and Grill
in White Bear Lake with the blues/funk band RIDE.
Aaron Konigsmark (Simón)
-- For the past
three years Aaron has been living and performing in the Twin Cities. He's worked
with Swandive, La Vie, Cromulent Shakespeare Company, and Mounds Community
Theatre. He is also a founding member of Bad Attitude Productions, a local
theatre company. He would like to dedicate this performance to longing for love,
Van Gogh's ear in remembrance of it.
Melissa Bechthold (Rita)
-- Melissa is
grateful to be a part of her first production with Commedia Beauregard.
After five years in Los Angeles and Fringing it this summer, Melissa’s glad to
be getting back into the swing of Twin Cities’ theatre. She’s been
everyone from a Pink Lady ("Jan" – Grease) to one of Shakespeare’s
novices ("Isabella" – Measure for Measure), as well as a director,
producer, girls’ softball coach, and salsa (dance) teacher.
Lauren B. Wills (Doña
Francisca) --
After spending much of the last two years working on film projects (including
the short film Karen and music videos for the bands Limbeck and Love
Arcade), Lauren is very excited to be part of the talented and hilarious cast of
The Young Lady's Consent. She is sincerely hoping no one realizes
she is not, in fact, any kind of a young lady until after the run.
Jesse Dorst (Calamocha)
-- Jesse is pleased to be making his Commedia Beauregard debut in The Young
Lady's Consent. He has been seen in productions with Chameleon Theater Circle,
Door Shakespeare, and CLIMB Theater. He is a graduate of Macalester College (BA,
Theater).
Matt Wenge (Don
Carlos) -- Mr. Wenge recently moved to the Twin Cities from Omaha, NE
where he performed with The Brigit St. Brigit Theatre. In the last year he
was seen in Macbeth as the First Murderer, Lt. Rooney in
Arsenic and Old Lace, and Colonel Pickering in Pygmallion.
He currently works as a web site developer who plans to go back to school to
pursue a masters degree in theatre.
